Our EVA foam mats are interlocking foam tiles of 60 x 60 cm that turn a hard floor into a soft, warm and safe surface in minutes. We supply them in 12 mm and 25 mm to schools, crèches, gyms, dojos, churches, event organisers and contractors across South Africa. Because the puzzle edges lock together, you need no glue or tools.

Each set contains 4 tiles and 8 edging pieces and covers 1.45 m². In addition, the edging pieces give the floor straight, neat sides. The tiles are lightweight, water-resistant and easy to lift, so you can also use them as a temporary floor.

12 mm or 25 mm foam mats?

12 mm: the all-round choice for classrooms, crèches, play corners, exhibition stands and home exercise. Moreover, the 8 colours let you create patterns, zones or a full rainbow floor.
25 mm: twice as thick, so it gives more cushioning and better insulation. Therefore, we advise it for gyms, floor exercises, active play and tents.

Please note that the two thicknesses do not lock together level. For this reason, use one thickness per floor.

The foam is soft and warm underfoot. However, it is not made for heavy free weights or martial arts throws. For judo, karate and wrestling, choose our EVA tatami mats. For weightlifting areas, our rubber gym tiles are the better choice.

How many sets of EVA foam mats do you need?

One set covers 1.45 m². So divide your floor area by 1.45 and round up. For example, a classroom play corner of 4 x 5 m (20 m²) needs 14 sets. Please note that we supply complete sets only and do not cut tiles to size. For bigger projects, send us your floor plan and we will calculate the number of sets and colours for you.

Laying and cleaning the foam tiles

Start in a corner and press the puzzle edges together, row by row. Then click the edging pieces onto the open sides. To clean the foam tiles, sweep or vacuum them and wipe them with a damp cloth and a mild soap. Because each tile lifts out on its own, you can also replace a worn tile or change the layout later.

Frequently asked questions about EVA foam mats

What is the difference between 12 mm and 25 mm EVA foam mats?

Both have the same tile size of 60 x 60 cm. The 25 mm mat, however, is twice as thick, so it absorbs more impact. The 12 mm mat comes in 8 colours, the 25 mm mat in black and grey.
